USCIS Delays Implementation of Fingerprinting and Photographs at USCIS Field Offices

Due to technical difficulties at several USCIS field offices, the nationwide rollout of the new Customer Identity Verification (CIV) process, which was to be launched on May 6, 2013, has been delayed. The new process would have required foreign nationals to submit fingerprints and photographs when appearing at USCIS offices for interviews or to receive evidence of an immigration benefit.Â
